Command Line Interface

On all supported platforms , programs and applications written in the language of SAS (scripts) can be executed from the WPS Command Line Interface (CLI). This is sometimes referred to as running in batch mode.

Using WPS CLI

The specific instructions about running WPS CLI can vary slightly according to the platform on which you use WPS. However, all platforms are able to run programs with WPS CLI to process and analyse data and generate output and log files. All platforms can optionally execute WPS CLI with configuration files containing user specified System Options.

  • Mainframe z/OS users should refer to the WPS-Installation-and-User-Guide-for-zOS.pdf which has a section called ‘Running WPS’ that describes using JCL to submit your jobs.
