WPS and SAS/CONNECT

Although WPS does not yet support a direct equivalent to SAS/CONNECT, an alternative solution can often be arranged using network file sharing and/or WPS with Windows Terminal Services.

Installing WPS on a Windows Terminal Server has many advantages and these are discussed in more detail in a section found in the platforms section. One particular advantage is that you can run very large programs on a Terminal Server leaving your machine free.

WPS has a code analyser tool that can quickly scan all your existing SAS programs. The analyser will report on all the elements from the language of SAS that have been used in your programs and identifies any language elements used that are not yet supported by WPS.
