App Fundamentals

Apps (applications, programs or jobs) consist of the following fundamental features:

  • one or more scripts
  • written with syntax from the WPS language support
  • to process and manipulate data in order to produce reports, graphs and charts

WPS provides facilities and features to create, edit, maintain and execute apps. WPS is able to execute apps that handle extremely large amounts of data.

Advanced Apps

An app may just be for processing and manipulating data from one form into another but it is possible to have an app do more than this:

  • perform statistical analytics on the data
  • generate reports with tabular and graphical output
